Lamoreaux Landing
For three generations, our family has been growing grapes on the fertile soils along the east side of Seneca Lake. Today we have over 119 acres of planted vineyards separated into more than 20 different vineyard blocks, planted predominantly on Honeoye Silt Loam and Lansing Gravely Loam soils. These holdings are managed using only sustainable winegrowing practices, to yield the finest lots of expressive and dynamic cool-climate varietals.
Our wines, including those in our sparkling program, are all produced and bottled in house using our estate-grown fruit, ensuring maximum control of grape quality and wine integrity. We take pride in every bottle of wine produced in our cellar and are proud, year after year, to share a bottle with fellow wine lovers.
Sustainability
At Lamoreaux Landing, we are growers first. We are also a New York winery with deep roots in the Finger Lakes, and a commitment to the long-term health of our land and the people who call the Finger Lakes home. We believe in being good stewards of the land and strive to preserve it. To achieve this, we are dedicated to sound environmental management practices, which minimize the use of synthetic fungicides, pesticides, fertilizers, fuel, energy and waste.
Renewable Energy
Determined to protect the environment with advanced renewable energy, we completed the installation of our 90 KW solar array in 2016 to provide 100% of our electrical energy needs. Converting solar power on the estate offsets 120,000 pounds or 60 tons of CO2 annually.
Additionally, in our tireless efforts to reduce our carbon footprint and improve the biodynamic health of our vineyards, we evaluate every decision through the lens of continuous improvement and the minimization of our environmental impact.
Vineyards
We grow and manage over 119 acres of planted vineyards on the eastern hillsides of beautiful Seneca Lake. These holdings are separated into more than 20 different vineyard blocks, and are intensely managed to yield only the finest lots of expressive and dynamic cool-climate varietals.
Riesling, Chardonnay, and Cabernet Franc make up the majority of our vineyards, and we also grow Gewürztraminer, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grüner Veltliner, and Muscat Ottonel.
