A 5-piece, fast-picking bluegrass quintet with boundless energy. The group continues to garner the attention of folk music lovers and festival goers from the Finger Lakes Region and across Upstate NY.

An acoustic, Americana stringband that features some of the top bluegrass players in Western New York. They capture the high energy of new a generation of modern bluegrass, the gritty soul of great American songwriting, and the Rust Belt ethos of their hometown. The music maintains a deep commitment to the bluegrass tradition while infusing a modern twist and a dark edge. Their compelling sound features haunting harmonies, vivid storytelling, and unexpected arrangements.

A Note From the Artist

Change is good! After many years of botanical painting, I've been taking a deep dive into the acrylics, especially relishing the textures and flavors of abstract pieces.

All you need to do it look to find hidden treasures in our beautiful Finger Lakes region. They are everywhere! Whether you'reat one of our farmer's markets, here at Lamoreaux Landing, or in backyard tucked away in one of our many charming villages, there are riches to feast your eyes on. Flowers, gardens, fruits, vegtables, lakes, and streams galore, and even the magnificent views can seem intimate as if they are there for you and you alone.

My paintings reflect a deep love of this region and the gardens, hedgerows, and lakes that make up this beautiful place.
as a horticulture educator at Cornell University, playing with these images on paper and canvas is another way to experience them. I have the great privilege of teaching undergradutate courses that explore the creative integration of art and hordiculture, including botanical illustration courses taught at the university and online. I have created illustrations for publications, book chapters, magazines, and exhinits nad my watercolorshave appeared on the covers of many publications. My works have shown widely throughout the cental New York region, and I recently was featured in a Canadian Botanical Art exhibition.

I hope you find these pieces to be evocative and joyous. Thank you so much for taking the time to view them.

On display in our Tasting Room through January 7th, 2020
