LAMOREAUX LANDING MAKES THE COVER OF WINE SPECTATOR (May 2006)- "Lamoreaux has one of more beautiful tasting rooms in the Finger Lakes, a wooden Greek Revival building with magnificent views of the vine-filled slopes and Seneca Lake. Owner and winemaker Mark Wagner's wines are the perfect accompaniment to the view; his Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc and Riesling are particularly strong."
LAMOREAUX LANDING CHARDONNAY COMPARED TO A $225 BOTTLE (November 2008)-"Lamoreaux Landing is made upstate near the Finger Lakes, and the cooler climate makes for a fresher, crisper, more elegant Chardonnay than what you'd typically get from California."
LAMOREAUX LANDING HERALDED IN SOMMELIER JOURNAL (October 2008)- "All grapes are grown on the estate, where some of the vines are more than 100 years old. The brut sparkling wine is luscious and rich. Both the Chardonnay and the Reserve Chardonnay are rich and full-flavored."
LAMOREAUX LANDING GEWURZTRAMINER IS FEATURED IN WINE & SPIRITS (April 2007)- "Lamoreaux Landing Gewurztraminers are entirely free of heat or bitterness. But more importantly, they possess a lift and elegance - without acidification - that are nearly unprecedented."
THE ICE WINE COMETH FROM THE GOOD LIFE(Winter, 2008)- "On a blustery late November day, winemaker Mark Wagner heads south through the hillsides overlooking Seneca Lake. He passes bare vineyards picked clean in the harvest a month before. A mile or so south of the winery, he turns off into a dirt lane. Wagner pulls a few grapes, tastes, and tosses a few to his dog, Max. These grapes - hanging on the vine in the face of the wind, birds and the approaching frost - are special. They'll be turned into ice wine, a sweet nectarlike dessert drink. The Finger Lakes are a natural for ice wine production."
LAMOREAUX LANDING'S VIEW AND T23-CABERNET FRANC FIND APPROVAL IN DRINKS MAGAZINE (September, 2007)- "Lamoreaux Landing Wine Cellars, the northernmost winery in the Banana Belt (of Seneca Lake) and the tasting room with the best view, produces excellent dry and semi-dry Riesling, as well as luscious and fruity Merlots. One unique wine made here is the unoaked Cabernet Franc, T-23, named for its steel fermentation tank. I have tasted T-23 favorably against examples from the Loire Valley, and it remains one my favorite food wines."
